Associate Principle Scientist(Biomolecular Analysis) – Reading - £24-£35 Per Hour – 6 months

Working within a Research & Development team this role is to provide outstanding technical direction to the biomolecular analysis team and across departments. This role may become permanent for the right applicant.

Duties are to act as technical lead during scoping teleconferences and write proposals for new projects. Supervise & perform a range of analysis using techniques including SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, ELISA, PCR, LC-MS, Tissue culture/Cell based assays, Capillary Electrophoresis, RP-HPLC, RP HPLC, RP-HPLC, Review, Authorise & Execute complex method development and design validation protocols according to ICH requirements and GMP. Responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and technically complex projects. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment Perform data checking and provide interpretation of results for complex analysis, Write, review and authorise scientific reports, Provide technical mentoring and training to member of the team.

Candidates will have 10 years of real world experience post PHD or 15 years proven experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, ICH methods testing drug substances an comparability studies according to ICH, significant experience of working to GMP, outstanding scientific capability & technical bioanalytical skills for analysis of peptides & proteins, excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical matters, meet customer/business requirements, project management, technical leadership, Analytical project management, Working as a bioanalytical technical expert within Contract Research Organisation, Biosimilars SOP and writing lab management. Educated to a degree or PHD in a relevant scientific discipline.
