Working for a charitable organisation this is an exciting opportunity to join a small team of Education Officers.

Responsibilities are the management, organisation, administration and delivery of ½ and 1 day STEM activities and Residential courses for Years, 8-12 students, research and develop training material and activities that will stimulate an interest and awareness of career opportunities in engineering, manufacturing, enterprise and technology.

Duties include develop and deliver stimulating STEM and Residential Course activities to students, be involved in the selection of venues and liaise with school organisers, prepare programmes to ensure that timetables leading up to events are followed, plan resource for events oversee and manager events including supervision of the Course Administrators in their preparation of course documentation and correspondence, supervise the support team and students, and manager the provision of overnight supervision of students.

Prepare budgets, monitor expenditure and authorise invoices against STEM and Course budgets, attend departmental meetings and assist with ad hoc projects, keep up to date developments in industry and education, represent the Trust at external events as and when required, maintain the requirements of the Quality System.

Successful candidates will be educated to Degree level preferably in Engineering, Science or Technology relevant experience within Industry or Education, a keen desire and enthusiasm to develop young people, possess excellent communication and presentation skills have excellent organisational skills and strong IT skills, a car owner with a clean Driving licence, candidates must be happy to travel and stay away from home to deliver the courses. This role would suit candidates from Education, Scouting, Outreach working.
